About

In the illuminating, enveloping panorama of the Mexican desert, the artist-protagonist searches for peyote, the sacred cactus used by native Mexican curanderos to acquire self-knowledge… Vision and hearing are profoundly altered by the substance , as the quietude of nature by the sound of a rushing train.
Centre and periphery, self and other, culture and nature, truth and illusion, formal and conceptual ambiguously work in unison.
And peace is recovered only when one returns to his original unity.
